When Ed Sheeran Crashed Niall Horan’s Concert, and We All Freaked Out!

Imagine this: You’re at a Niall Horan concert in Dublin, having the time of your life, and then, out of nowhere, Ed Sheeran steps on stage. Yep, that actually happened on Friday (Aug. 23), and the crowd at Royal Hospital Kilmainham absolutely lost it.

The “Shape of You” star joined Niall for some seriously nostalgic vibes, throwing it back to the early 2010s. They broke out into an acoustic duet of One Direction’s “Little Things,” a song Ed himself wrote for the band back in 2012.

Just picture it: two acoustic guitars, two incredible voices, and all the feels. They even treated the audience to Sheeran’s hit “Lego House,” with the crowd singing along to every word.

As they softly crooned, “You’ll never love yourself half as much as I love you,” you could almost feel the whole place melt.

It was like getting a warm hug from the past, with Ed and Niall harmonizing together like old friends — though, of course, missing the rest of the 1D gang (Harry, Zayn, Liam, and Louis).

This surprise duet happened in the middle of Niall’s tour for his 2023 album The Show, which has been a big hit, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

The tour started back in February in Belfast and will wrap up in Bogotá, Colombia, on Oct. 9. Niall’s been making his way around the globe, playing to fans across Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America.

Meanwhile, Ed’s also busy on his own European tour, with his next stop set for Romania. His latest albums, and Autumn Variations (both from 2023), have been doing well, too, peaking at Nos. 2 and 4 on the Billboard 200.

It’s safe to say that Friday night was one for the books in Dublin, with two of the biggest names in music joining forces for a night no one will soon forget.
