Fans of Only Murders in the Building can celebrate—the hit Hulu show has officially been renewed for a fifth season! The renewal comes just over a week after the premiere of Season 4, which debuted on Aug. 27 and will run until Oct. 29.
Like previous seasons, Season 5 will have 10 episodes. This time, the beloved trio—played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez—heads to Los Angeles when a movie studio expresses interest in turning their podcast into a film.
While navigating Hollywood, they’ll also be trying to solve the murder of Sazz Pataki (played by Jane Lynch), who was Martin’s character’s former stunt double.
Season 4 has already brought in a star-studded cast including Meryl Streep, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Molly Shannon.

The series was co-created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, who both serve as executive producers, alongside Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal. Hoffman also acts as the showrunner. The series is produced by 20th Television.
Only Murders in the Building has been a hit with both fans and critics since its debut. Season 3 received 21 Emmy nominations, including recognition for Martin, Short, and Gomez as outstanding lead actor and actress in a comedy series. Impressively, all four seasons have maintained a 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
With a new season confirmed, the mystery, comedy, and star power are sure to continue drawing audiences in for more laughs and whodunits.
