Dave Grohl’s Affair Confession: Why That Viral Post About His 'Lovechild' Is Fake?

Dave Grohl, the legendary Foo Fighters frontman, recently found himself at the center of a viral rumor. A post claiming to show the child Grohl allegedly fathered outside of his marriage began circulating, but the rock star has since called it out as fake.

On Wednesday, September 11, Grohl admitted to having an extramarital affair and fathering a baby girl.

In a heartfelt social media post, Grohl, 55, expressed deep remorse, stating he’s committed to being a “loving and supportive parent” while working to regain the trust of his wife, Jordyn Blum, and their three daughters: Violet, Harper, and Ophelia.

Grohl acknowledged his mistake, saying, “I’m doing everything I can to earn my family’s forgiveness.”

Viral Instagram Post Causes Confusion!

Soon after Grohl made his confession, an Instagram post went viral, claiming to show the newborn baby, named Roxie Junie Grohl. The now-deleted post featured a photo of a woman holding a baby’s hand, accompanied by a long, emotional caption.

The person behind the post claimed to be Roxie’s mother, sharing that Grohl had been supportive throughout the pregnancy and that their daughter looked just like him. The caption read:

“From the shape of your eyes to the way your little nose crinkles when you smile, you are truly a Grohl through and through.”

The post continued with the alleged mother saying she was new to the “baby mama” life and was excited to share her joy but wanted to protect her privacy.

Grohl’s Team Responds: “It’s Fake”

Despite the heartfelt nature of the post, a representative for Grohl quickly responded, telling TMZ that the Instagram post is entirely fake.

Grohl himself has not provided any details about his newborn child or the identity of the mother, but he made it clear that the viral post is not legitimate.

Grohl’s Relationship with Jordyn Blum!

Grohl has been married to Blum, 48, since 2003. The couple met at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in 2001, but Grohl admitted in a 2007 interview that he initially wasn’t ready for a serious commitment.

After their first few dates, he stopped calling her. Three months later, he had a change of heart and reached out again. Blum answered the phone, surprised, saying, “Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again.”

The couple married at their Los Angeles home in August 2003 and went on to have three daughters: Violet (born 2006), Harper (born 2009), and Ophelia (born 2014).

Grohl has always been a devoted family man, often mentioning how much he hates being away from his children during long tours. In a 2009 interview with Time, he shared:

“I used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don’t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days.”

Despite the recent controversy, Grohl remains focused on his family. His love for his daughters and his commitment to being present in their lives have been a cornerstone of his identity. “When you have kids, you see life through different eyes,” Grohl said in the same interview.

For now, Grohl is working to rebuild his relationship with his wife and children, while continuing to manage the fallout from his public confession.

The viral Instagram post may have added fuel to the fire, but Grohl has made it clear that he’s doing everything he can to move forward with honesty and integrity.
