Chrishell Stause, star of Selling Sunset, recently shared with her fans that she underwent surgery after discovering her breast implants had ruptured.
In a video posted on Instagram on Sunday (September 15), the 43-year-old revealed that the implants, which she had for 15 years, had disintegrated.
“Earlier this year, I had a full body scan and found out both of my breast implants were ruptured,” she wrote in the video caption.
“My first reaction was fear—worrying about surgery and potential complications. But I’m really grateful I found Dr. Josef Hadeed, who made the process smooth and stress-free.”
Chrishell’s Candid Experience
Chrishell explained that Dr. Hadeed and his team removed all the silicone from her body and replaced what she affectionately called her 15-year-old “vintage” implants.
While being open about her experience, she emphasized that she wasn’t trying to promote plastic surgery, saying it’s a personal decision.
However, she did want to share her story in case it could help someone else. She wrote:
“If you choose surgery, it’s crucial to stay on top of your health. I know many people could be living with ruptured implants and not even know it. I hope being transparent about my experience can help anyone going through something similar.”

A Silent Problem
In the video, Chrishell admitted that she was shocked when she found out her implants had ruptured, especially since she didn’t experience any obvious symptoms. “Looking back, there might’ve been signs, but I wasn’t sure at the time,” she shared.
According to the Mayo Clinic, a ruptured silicone breast implant is one that develops a tear or hole. Often, there aren’t clear symptoms, but sometimes it can cause breast pain or changes in shape.
Treatment typically involves removing the damaged implant, and a new implant can usually be placed during the same procedure.

In addition to her personal update, Stause is set to compete on a new show where the cast will head to a castle in the Scottish Highlands for a thrilling murder mystery game with a grand prize of up to $250,000.
Chrishell will be joined by actor and model Sam Asghari, ex-husband of Britney Spears, with Alan Cumming returning as the host. The show will stream on Peacock, though the release date is yet to be announced.
